Dr Jasveer (“Jas”) Jayarajan is a specialist in Acute and General Medicine with public hospital appointments at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Melbourne Private Hospital. Dr Jayarajan graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2007, before completing his clinical training at The Royal Melbourne and Austin Hospitals, He remains actively involved in physician training and completed a Masters of Clinical Education in 2019.
His special interests and expertise include the assessment and management of acute and undifferentiated medical presentations, providing holistic care to patients with multiple complex health issues, and the perioperative assessment and co-management of surgical patients.
Dr Jayarajan is the director of the Acute Medical Unit at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Outpatient services
Dr Jayarajan sees outpatients at Suite 9.3, Danks Wing, Epworth Richmond. The rooms can be found on the ninth floor, using the lifts nearest the hospital's main reception area. The rooms are wheelchair accessible. Paid car parking is available in the hospital carpark and the surrounding streets. Public transport access is via the route 48 or 75 trams (stop 15).
Pathology, radiology, and pharmacy services are available on-site.

Patients who have urgent clinical issues or emergencies should contact standard urgent-care services, including Nurse-on-Call, your general practitioner, local emergency department, or the ambulance service.
Fees
Dr Jayarajan does not charge an out-of-pocket "gap" for inpatient consultations, which will be billed directly to your insurer. Uninsured patients will be charged the equivalent of the AHSA benefit.
All appointments (face-to-face and telehealth) attract a private fee, which is payable on the day of appointment via credit or debit card:

Medicare rebates apply to all services with a valid referral. Medicare claims will be submitted by administrative staff and paid into the bank account you have provided to Medicare.
Medicare-ineligible patients will be charged a fee equal to the Medicare rebate for the relevant consultation.
Patients seeking reimbursement for fees from Workcover or TAC will be given an invoice for use in making a claim.
